Welcome to ChMeetings! We are grateful for your decision to migrate your church data into our platform, and we are here to help make your transition as comfortable as we can.
If you prefer to leave it to us, please get in touch, and our team will migrate your data at no additional cost if you choose any of our paid plans.
If you want to go through this process yourself, we provide various import tools for you to use.
This guide shows you how to retrieve your data from Elvanto and import it into ChMeetings.
Export from Elvanto/Tithe.ly
To migrate your data to ChMeetings, you must first retrieve it from Elvanto/Tithe.ly. The available exports are People and Contributions.
People
- Within Elvanto/Tithe.ly, go to the Admin Area.
- Next, go to Reports > Add Custom Report > Standard Report.
- Name the Report.
- Choose whether you only want to generate the report or create a people view too.
- Filter as follows: People Category > Contains > Select All.
- Select Display as Individuals.
- Use a filter to Match All of the Following Fields.
- Add all of the fields you want to export, and make sure to include the Member ID.
- Click Save & Generate.
- Click Export and select CSV.
- Save the export in a dedicated location for better organization.
Contributions
- Within Elvanto/Tithe.ly, go to the Admin Area.
- Go to Financial > Reports > Batches.
- Configure the following fields:
- Find Batches: By Name.
- Display: List All Transactions.
- Transaction Type: Both Tax Deductible and Non-Tax Deductible.
- Chart of Account: Check All.
- Additional Batch Columns: Check All.
- Additional People Columns: Member ID and Full Name.
- Sort: Ascending Transaction Date.
- Output: .xlsx, Landscape, A4.
- Click Generate.
- Save the export in a dedicated location for better organization.
Import into ChMeetings
To import your data into ChMeetings, please use the corresponding Elvanto/Tithe.ly export files along with the dedicated tool for each import:
- Import people. You can Merge duplicate people if needed.
- Import contributions.
