Welcome to ChMeetings! We are grateful for your decision to migrate your church data into our platform, and we are here to help make your transition as comfortable as we can.
If you prefer to leave it to us, please get in touch, and our team will migrate your data at no additional cost if you choose any of our paid plans.
If you want to go through this process yourself, we provide various import tools for you to use.
This guide shows you how to retrieve your data from Servant Keeper and import it into ChMeetings.
Export from Servant Keeper
To migrate your data to ChMeetings, you must first retrieve it from Servant Keeper. The available exports are People and Contributions.
People
- Within Servant Keeper, go to Group > Add Group
- In the Add/Edit Group window. name your report.
- List the search results as Individuals, not families.
- Select a field to search: Use Individual ID.
- Select how to search the field: Is not Blank.
- Enter the item to search for: leave it blank.
- Click +Add to add criteria.
- Click Select Fields. This is where you select the fields to import. Make sure to include the Individual ID and Family ID. If you don’t know or have not decided what fields to import, select all fields. Click Save when ready.
- Click Save again.
- In the Group Keeper main menu, double-click the report you just created. This will show you a preview of the report.
- Click Save As> Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
- Save it in a dedicated location for better organization.
- For the exported Excel sheet you need to update some headers columns to match our import template as follows.

- Wedding Date => Anniversary
- Cell Phone => Mobile Phone
- E-Mail => Email
- School Grade => Grade
- Address => Address Line
- Date Joined => Join Date
- Individual ID => Person Id
- Family ID => Family Id
- Baptized Date => Baptism Date
Contributions
- Within Servant Keeper, open the Contribution Manager.
- Go to File > Save As (Export) > Individual Contributions.
- Check Show Split Trans Detail.
- Select Individuals.
- Click Select Fields.
- Select Individual ID.
- Select Family ID.
- Click Save.
- Include Inactive People.
- Click the Find button. You will be asked whether you want to stop at 500 rows. Click No.
- Double-click the report you just created to see a preview.
- Click Save As > Microsoft Excel.
- Save the report in a dedicated location for better organization.
Import into ChMeetings
To import your data into ChMeetings, please use the corresponding Servant Keeper export files along with the dedicated tool for each import:
- Import people. You can Merge duplicate people if needed.
- Import contributions.
