This guide walks you through setting up your Brother printer to print check-in labels (Name Tags) for parents and children using the ChMeetings app.
Step 1: Enable Name Tag Printing in Event Settings
Before printing, ensure name tag printing is enabled:

Go to Event Settings.

Locate the option: Enable Print Name Tags for Child and Parents.

Make sure the toggle is enabled.
Step 2: First-Time Check-In – Printer Setup
The setup process only appears during the first check-in. Printer settings are saved for future use. When you perform the first checkin:

A Printer Setup popup will appear.

The app will request permission to find devices on the network.

It will begin searching for available Brother printers.

Once a printer is detected, the Printer Settings screen will open.

To change the Printer, Paper Size, or Layout:

On iPhone: Tap the top-right menu (⋯) in Printer Setup.

On iPad: Use the option beside the search box.
Troubleshooting Guide
1. Ensure the Printer is Powered On and Connected

Make sure the Brother printer is turned on.

Check that the WiFi LED is solid (not blinking).
2. Verify Network Connection

Your mobile device and printer must be on the same WiFi network.

If using Direct WiFi Mode, connect your device to the printer’s WiFi.
3. Check Local Network Permission (iOS Only)

On iOS, go to: Settings > Privacy > Local Network

Make sure ChMeetings is allowed to access the local network.
4. Restart WiFi or Printer

Toggle WiFi off and on on your device.

Restart the printer if it's still not found.
