This is a paid feature.
If you need people to be transferred between Ministries and Groups, there is a tool within ChMeetings that does it for you, in a semi-automated manner. People are automatically transferred, in bulk, according to your selection, but you need to run the transfer manually when required.
This feature is particularly helpful if you run a Sunday School, because it allows you to make the necessary Ministry and Group movements when members promote school grades (for example from Elementary Sunday School Ministry > Grade 5 Group to Middle Sunday School Ministry > Grade 6 Group). You can keep your transfer and run it again next year, when a new generation promotes grades.
Go to Settings > Tools > Transfer People to find this feature.
This article shows you how to transfer people, by following the steps below.
- First, select the Source Ministry and Group, from which you want to transfer, as well as the Destination Ministry and Group, to which you want to send the transferred people. When the transfer is complete, the people within the selected Source will be moved to the selected Destination.
- When you have made your selection, click Add Transfer.
- Once you have added the transfer, a line will be added to your list of transfers. At this point no people are moved. The purpose of this step is to allow you to create transfers from multiple ministries and groups, then run them when needed, without having to select the Source and Destination every time. For example, you may want to have transfers ready for each grade promotion that needs to be performed each year. Once the school grade is automatically promoted according to your account settings, you can move people to the groups that are now relevant to their new grade. You can delete transfers by clicking the ⊖ icon on the right. Please keep in mind that deleted transfers cannot be restored.
- Click Run Now when you are ready to run your transfers. Note that all transfers will run at once. For now there are no options to run them separately.
