Note that in most accounting software, the Chart of Accounts includes Funds, Income and Expenses Categories and the Accounts. but NOT transactions. These may be imported separately. Direct bank sync typically supports up to the last 6 months of transactions, although this may vary from one bank to another. If you need to import older transactions, you can export them from your bank to Excel or QuickBooks format and then import the file into ChMeetings. |
Unsupported Systems
If your previous system is not supported, we recommend the following process:
- Start from the current month or the beginning of the fiscal year by entering the opening balance for each account, then continue adding or importing transactions going forward. Please see Accounting Setup for details.
- Import historical bank transactions for a specific period (for example, from January 1, 2026). Before importing, please configure the import rules so the transactions are automatically categorized correctly. See Import Transactions to learn more.
If your system is not listed in the table above, please get in touch and we will look into importing your accounting data.
Good to Know Before Migrating
This compatibility list applies primarily when working with our team to migrate. Our data migration service is completely free of charge.. Here are some useful notes about our service:
If you are migrating from desktop software:
- We recommend making a backup of your data in the old system and sending it to us (or send us any data files available - .bak, excel, .csv, etc.). This backup should be made recently so you can include all the relevant data.
- Please make sure the files you send us are not protected by a password; or alternatively, send us the appropriate password along with it.
- If your files are in a Google Drive, please grant our team access based on the following email address albair@chmeetings.com.
- If you decide to export your data rather than making a backup, please make sure you include all columns.
If you are migrating from QuickBooks Online or other online software:
- It is preferable that you grant us access to the web interface of your previous system by providing us with a username and password.
- In case 2FA is enabled on your previous system, please schedule a suitable time to receive the verification code
