Important Introduction
Archived people are kept forever in ChMeetings and will not count towards your plan.
Deleted people are kept for 30 days within ChMeetings. During this time, they will not count towards your plan and you can restore them back to your People list, along with their related information. Restoring deleted people is only available for paid accounts. Once people are restored, they will count towards your plan again.
Please keep in mind that if you reach your limit, you will not be able to restore people from the archive or from deleted people until you either delete other records or upgrade to a larger plan.
Archiving people
Archiving an individual person
To archive a specific person:
- Go to People and find the person you want to archive.
- Click the person’s Name, to view their profile.
- Click Archive, at the bottom left of their profile. You will be asked to confirm your choice.
Archiving multiple people
You can archive multiple people in one go, using the More Actions, menu, as follows:
- Go to People and select the people you want to archive - using the checkbox next to their name and profile picture.
- Click More Actions.
- Click Archive. You will be asked to confirm your choice.
Archived people are available in the Reports module, within the Archived People report.
Restoring archived people
To restore archived people, please go to: Reports > Archived People Report.
All of your archived people will be listed within this report. There is an options button next to each person’s record (...) Please click on it, then select Restore.
Next, confirm that you want to restore the person. Click on Restore to do so.
Once you have confirmed the action, the restored person will go back to your main People list. Their activity and profile data will be restored as well.
Deleting people
You can delete someone when you are sure that you no longer need to store their information.
Important:
Please keep in mind that deleted people are only kept for 30 days, during which you can only restore them if you have a paid account. After 30 days, these people will be deleted permanently. For free accounts, people are deleted permanently right away.
Deleting an individual person
There are two ways to delete an individual person
From the options menu:
- Go to People and find the person that you want to delete.
- Click the options button corresponding to the person.
- Click Delete. You will be asked to confirm your choice.
From the person’s profile:
- Go to People and find the person you want to archive.
- Click the person’s Name, to view their profile.
- Click Delete, at the bottom left of their profile. You will be asked to confirm your choice.
Deleting multiple people
To delete multiple people in one go, please use the More Actions menu, as follows:
- Go to People and select the people you want to delete - using the checkbox next to their name and profile picture.
- Click More Actions.
- Click Delete. You will be asked to confirm your choice.
Archived people are available in the Reports module, within the Deleted People Log Report.
Restoring deleted people
This option is only available for paid accounts.
To restore a deleted person, please go to: Reports > Log Reports > Deleted People Log Report.
This report will list all of your deleted people. There is an options (...) button next to each record. Please click on it, then click on Restore.
Please confirm your action by clicking again on Restore.
Once you confirm, the deleted person will be sent back to your main People list, along with their profile information and activity. From this point, they will count against your plan once again.
