What is the branded ChMeetings church app?

The branded ChMeetings church app is a customized version of ChMeetings that we create for your church. It is integrated into your main ChMeetings account, but admins, members, and guests can download it separately from Google Play and the Apple App Store. The listing is under your church name, logo, and colors, with personalized screenshots and in-app screens.

Why should my church opt for a branded app?

A branded app offers several benefits for churches.

  • You can create an online identity: People will interact with and recognize your church, instead of ChMeetings;
  • A branded app lets you develop closer relationships and trust with the people who interact with your church, by being easily recognizable on their phone screens or their notifications;
  • Your brand value perception is increased by offering a custom app rather than a generic one;
  • It’s easier to build community by creating a unique brand that people identify with;
  • Members feel their church is closer than ever.

Do I need to manage maintenance and updates?

No. There is no maintenance or update work that you must do yourself. Your church app gets all the updates the unbranded ChMeetings app gets; plus extras. We manage all required maintenance tasks, and you only need to care for your community by doing your regular church work. 

The only situation when you may need to be involved in an app update is if your church changes branding elements such as your logo or colors. In this case, just contact us and we will update them. 

Besides customizing branding elements, what else can I do with the branded ChMeetings app that I can’t do with the unbranded version?

The branded ChMeetings app comes with extra features that are not available with the unbranded version:

  • Switch the app interface to dark mode;
  • Customize the app menu: rename items, change item icons, reorder items, or configure visibility (for members, guests, or both);
  • Share content with members and guests using a Media Library,
  • Send mobile notifications to guests who have installed the app.

Other exclusive features coming soon include:

  • Prayer Wall and Bible,
  • Group Chat.

What are the supported languages?

The branded app is available in 20 languages, just like the unbranded ChMeetings app: English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, and more. Please see Available Languages And Language Settings for the updated list.

Does it cost extra?

Yes. We charge for the branded church app, in addition to any paid ChMeetings plan. So, your final cost is your ChMeetings plan price plus the branded app price.

Branded church apps cost extra throughout the industry, and some of our fellow ChMS developers charge setup fees in the thousands, while their monthly pricing is in hundreds of dollars. With ChMeetings, you can get a branded app for a two-digit price for as long as the economy allows us to charge such rates.

We charge no setup fees, and your only upfront cost is your subscription - either the monthly or the yearly price, depending on how often you’d like to be billed.

How does billing work? 

We bill based on calendar month or year, starting with the first and ending with the last day of the period. So, for example, if you subscribe to the branded church app annually in the middle of the year, you only pay for the remaining period within the current year, not for a full year. 

Do you offer discounted annual plans?

Yes. You get two free months, so you pay for 10 months instead of 12 when you subscribe annually. 

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely! You can cancel ChMeetings altogether, or just the branded app. 

If you want to cancel your entire ChMeetings account, you can do so yourself, from Settings > Account Settings. This will cancel both your main ChMeetings account and the branded church app.

To only cancel the branded church app, and keep using unbranded ChMeetings, please contact us and we will cancel it for you.

How do I get a branded ChMeetings church app?

First, sign up for unbranded ChMeetings and choose any paid plan. Next, go to Settings > Subscription, and request your branded church app. We’ll take it from there. 🙂
