The Song Library is where you can centralize the songs you play during services and church events.
You can find this feature under Worship Planning > Songs Library.
The Songs Library is also accessible and songs can be added from under the Worship Plans area, within Events. Please continue reading to learn more on how this process occurs.
Add a Song
From within the Song Library
To add a song from within your library click Add Song at the top left of your Song Library screen.
Next, enter the song details, as follows:
- Title: Enter the Song’s title.
- Duration: Enter the song’s duration, in minutes and seconds.
- Description: Briefly describe the song.
- Key; Optionally, enter the song’s key.
- Artist: Add the artist’s name.
- Tags: Enter relevant tags that will be associated with the song within the library.
-
Attachments: You can add attachments by uploading or linking to files:
- Upload: Click Choose File to upload an attachment for the item. The maximum file size should be 5MB.
- Link: Under Add Link to URL, enter or paste the link to your file. Click the ⊕ icon to add more.
- Click Save when you’re ready to save your item.
From within a Worship Plan
You can also add a new song to the Library by adding a new Song item to your Worship Plan.
- Enter the Title,
- Click the Create New option, rather than selecting a matching item from the Library.
- Enter the Song Details, the same as when adding from the main Library.
This will add the song to your plan and also create a new Song Library item for that song. Any details and file attachments will be associated with the song in both places.
Song Library Options
The Song Library comes with the following options:
- Search by song name, artist or tag: Just use the search box at the top to do so.
- Edit Songs: You can edit the details of a song from the context menu of the item. Please note that song edits DO NOT sync across the Song Library and plans. This means that if you edit song details within the Library, they will not reflect within the plans they are added to. Consequently, edits made within a plan item where a particular song is associated will not affect the main item in the Song Library.
- Delete Songs: You can delete a song, as long as it is not linked to a Worship Plan. Linked songs cannot be deleted and you will see a message stating this when trying to delete such a song. Please identify the template or plan it is associated with and delete it from there first. Afterwards you will be able to delete from the Song Library too. Note that if you delete a song, you must upload it again as there is no option to restore.
Import Songs
You can easily add new songs to your library by importing them using.csv, .xls and .xlsx spreadsheets.
