This guide helps you manage multilingual forms, considering that the custom content you enter into a form is not being automatically translated into the set interface language. The language configured in the Form Settings only specifies which language the form is intended for.
For example, if you set a form to English, anyone who opens that form will see the Interface text in English. Likewise, if you set a form to Spanish, anyone who opens it will see Spanish as the default interface text language.
To enable the Form Language feature, go to Settings > Account Settings > General Settings and Enable Multilingual Events and Forms. Again, this makes the Language setting available, translates the interface, but does not translate the custom content.
So, if you'd like to provide the form in both English and Spanish, you'll need to create two separate forms, one in English and one in Spanish, and enter the content in each language. Then in the Form Settings, select the appropriate language for each form. When the form is opened, both the content and the interface text will display in the appropriate language.
If, in the Form Settings, you choose to show the form in the main menu for all forms in all languages, members will see all these forms including in languages that do not correspond to their interface. At the moment there is no way to only show the form that is in the language corresponding to the member’s interface.
The easiest way to direct people to a form that is fully displayed in their language is to send direct links to the specific form, in the appropriate language, or embed them externally from ChMeetings, rather than showing them all in the menu. See Share Forms for more details.
