Setup
ChMeetings integrates with Stripe to provide you with a secure way of processing church payments, such as online giving or event tickets.
Here is how to implement this integration:
- Log into ChMeetings.
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
-
Under Payment Provider, click Configure.
-
Select Stripe, and click Integrate.
-
You will be taken to a screen where you are asked to either login or create a Stripe account.
-
Please log into your Stripe account if you already have it.
-
If you are already logged into Stripe within the same browser, you will eb able to just select your account, then connect it to ChMeetings.
-
If you don’t already have a Stripe account, you can create it by following Stripe’s on-screen instructions. You will be asked to provide legal and bank information about your church to begin accepting payments. Please ensure that you complete all necessary configurations within Stripe so your ChMeetings payments can go through successfully. Learn more about setting up a Stripe account.

Please log into your Stripe account if you already have it.
-
Once you have logged into or created your Stripe account, your account will be connected to ChMeetings.
If your Stripe setup is done correctly and you run successful payment tests, then your ChMeetings giving and event payments should also pass to Stripe.
Apple Pay and Google Pay Support
The Stripe integration comes with built-in support for Apple Pay and Google Pay. This is available by default; you do not need to enable it yourself. It will work automatically in Online Giving and Events Payments. Apple Pay will only show when open on Safari (Mac or iPhone) and Google Pay works when opening on Android. This offers your donors more flexibility and speed when giving and paying for events.
Change the Display Name in Apple Pay
If you want to change your church name as displayed in Apple Pay when making a donation, you can do so by updating the business or statement descriptor settings within Stripe:
- Log into your Stripe Dashboard
- Go to Settings > Business (or Public Details)
-
Look for:
- Statement descriptor
- Shortened descriptor
- Business display name
-
Change it to the preferred name, for example:
- “St Mary Church”
- “St Mary Coptic”
- “SMCOC”
- Save the changes
