Map the Chart of Accounts
The Quickbooks Chart of Accounts maps to ChMeetings Accounts and Categpries, as follows:
QuickBooks | ChMeetings |
Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Loans | Accounts (representing money storage locations) |
Income and Expense Accounts, including all Sub-Accounts | Categories (representing why money was received or spent) |
Important Note: QuickBooks Subaccounts should be mapped into Categories or Subcategories within ChMeetings, as they describe the purpose of transactions rather than storage locations.
Import to ChMeetings
Importing this data is time consuming and rather specialized. In addition, there are no import tools for some areas at the moment. This is why we strongly recommend that you get in touch with us, and our team will migrate your data at no additional cost if you choose any of our paid plans. Here is how this process works.
Note on the Profit and Loss Statement
ChMeetings does not offer a Profit and Loss Statement, mainly due to the nature of church accounting, where the focus is on tracking the source and destination of money. Unlike a business, where profit and loss data is essential, churches don’t usually require such information and rather rely on an Income Statement to get insights similar to Profit and Loss Statements.
We do offer an Income Statement, plus several other accounting reports, which you can explore with our guide to Generating Accounting Reports.
