Group Messaging Starting iOS 26
Starting iOS 26, you may be unable to send individual messages to people if you select several records in the ChMeetings mobile app. This is not a ChMeetings issue, and occurs because Apple has removed the “Group Messaging” switch in newer iOS versions, so you can’t fully disable group texts anymore like you could in older iOS versions.
This means that if you send a message to multiple contacts, apple devices will automatically create a group conversation. There is no official toggle to turn this off starting iOS 26. There are two ways to approach this: via potential workarounds which may not fully help send messages separately; and via methods that guarantee individual messaging.
Potential Workarounds:
- Create a Shortcut automation that sends the same message to multiple contacts individually.
- Turn off MMS Messaging, which may sometimes force messages to go separately. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Turn off MMS messaging. Note that you won’t be able to send photos/videos via SMS when MMS is off.
Guaranteed Methods:
- Send messages one by one: This is guaranteed to send SMS as individual messages; however, it is indeed inconvenient in a church context, where you must contact many people in one go.
- Use ChMeetings: You can purchase a credit package from ChMeetings and send messages using the built-in text features. Even if you select multiple contacts, you will send individual messages, since our editor uses the BCC field.
- Integrate a broadcast app: ChMeetings offers a variety of bulk SMS services you can easily integrate with; and you’ll be able to send SMS via ChMeetings while being billed by your chosen third party provider.
ChMeetings does not charge for messages unless you choose to purchase a credit package.

Blank Screen When Changing iPhone / iPad
If you have changed your iPhone and see a white / blank screen when opening ChMeetings, you can resolve the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the Chmeetings mobile app.
Any existing app data is stored on your initial device and can be transferred to the new one, as needed, using Apple’s recommended procedure.

Blank Screen On iPhone / iPad Running iOS 15
If you see a blank screen when opening ChMeetings on an iPhone or iPad device running iOS 15, please uninstall and reinstall the ChMeetings app. This issue has been fixed in ChMeetings 2022.22, and reinstallation should resolve it. If you still have issues, please contact our support team.

My Printer Does Not Display
If you are trying to print from your ChMeetings app (standard or branded) on an iOS device, and your printer is not found, please make sure the following is configured:
- Your mobile device is connected to the same WiFi network as the printer.
-
The ChMeetings app has permission to use the Local Area Network:
- Go to your phone Settings > Apps.
- Search for ChMeetings or for the name of your branded app.
-
Turn on the Local Area Network toggle.
