No Option to Login / Register
If members don’t see an option to log in or register to your church app, it’s likely because the option was hidden from the Admin side. To unhide it, follow these steps:
- Go to Member Portal > Builder.
- Go To Settings.
- Make sure that Hide Login/Register is toggled off.

Save your changes if you made any.

That’s it! Your members should now see the Login/Register option within your app.
Username Issues
User Login in ChMeetings is based on the Username, which can be either an email or phone number, depending on how the user was registered.
- In most cases, users register with their email, so their username is their email address.
- However, if a member was invited via text (SMS), their username would be their phone number instead.
If either email or phone login isn’t working for you or your members, it’s likely that the user account was registered with the other. So, try the phone number if the email does not work, and vice versa.
However, users also have the option to change their username to something other than their email or phone. If they do so, but then potentially forget it and try the old one, then the login will not work.
In both cases, Admins can check someone’s registered username from under Users & Roles > Users.
Resend User Invite
From Users & Roles > Users, you can click on the three dots next to the member you want to re-invite, select Edit, and then click Generate Password. This will trigger a new email to be sent to the member with temporary login credentials.
After logging in, the member can change their password at any time by going to Settings > Change Password.
Please note that on the Users page, the Last Access column indicates whether the user has logged in or not.
Alternatively, if there are many members to manage:
- Go to Users & Roles > Users
- Select individuals who don’t have any Last Access date listed
- Click on Bulk Actions > Delete Users
Then:
- Go to the People page
- Use Advanced Search > Filter by Users > Not Users
- Apply the filter, select all, and click More Actions > Invite to Member Portal
This process allows you to clean up inactive user accounts and re-invite members in bulk.
