Birthday and Anniversary Automated Tasks let you send a greeting email, push notification or SMS to members on their birthday or anniversary and triggers daily at the scheduled time for members whose birthday or anniversary is that day.
To add a Birthday or Anniversary task, select it under Settings > Automated Tasks, then configure the following:
- Select the task type as Birthday or Anniversary, under Settings > Automated Tasks.
- Enter a Name, then set the time when the task should run.
- Set it to Run Daily At a desired time (e.g.: 9:00am).
- Configure the Task that you want to run. The only action this task can perform is to send communications. You can choose to send an Email, Push Notification or SMS. You can check all options and edit the contents of each type of message.
- Select the Days To Send: This determines whether the task triggers the same day you configure it or after a set amount of days.
- Select the Sender, if needed. This lets you choose between your own email, or the church account email, if set up in Settings > Account Settings.
- Set the task Criteria. This is where you choose what set of people the task will apply. You can filter by Gender, Age Range, Groups, Zip Code, or Grade (you can enter multiple zip codes). Task Criteria are optional; and if you do not set any, the task will apply to all people records.
- Check the Summary to make sure your setup is correct.
- When your configuration is ready, click Save to save the task.
Once enabled, the task will be displayed on your main Automated Tasks screen. You can choose to toggle it on or off later on.
