ChMeetings lets you check in families and children when participating in church events. This guide explains the process to go through.
Configure Family and Child Check-in
You can configure the Child Check-in feature when adding or editing an event. To set up Child Check-In, please configure the following:
- Enable Check Out - This lets you check people out of an event after they have checked in.
- Enable Check-In by Family - This feature displays a menu of family members when you select to check someone in for an event, so you can quickly tick everyone who is participating in the event.
-
Enable Print Name Tags for Children and Parents - When this feature is active, a name tag will be printed for parents and children who check in for an event. Clicking Preview next to this feature (within the event settings window) lets you see what these could look like. We support the following printers:-
- Brother QL-820NWB
- Brother QL-810W
- DYMO Label 450 (Wired)
- DYMO Label 450 Turbo (Wired)
- DYMO Label 550 (Wired)
- DYMO Label Writer (Wireless)
- Include Child Name - This field lets you include the child’s name on the parents’ nametag. For details, please see the dedicated section below, titled “Printing Name Tags for Parents & Children”.
-
Include Custom Fields - This feature allows you to select two custom profile fields to display on the child's name tag. This is useful when you want to display specific information on the tag, such as Allergies, Nutritional Requirements, etc.
The Check-In Process
When there are several members of a family attending an event, you can see the number of family members next to the check-in button corresponding to anyone who is part of the same family, as shown below.
Select the required members, then click Check In to complete the process.

Print Name Tags for Parents & Children
If you have chosen to print name tags for parents and children for your event, the Print dialog will open automatically when you check the person in. All you need to do is check the tag information, if needed, then print the nametags.
Remove Someone’s Check-in
When a member is checked in, they will have two buttons against their name:
- Check-In (green)
- Check-Out (red)
If you need to remove someone from the list of checked-in attendees, simply click the green Check-In button. Once doing so, this button should turn back to a white background and, therefore, the “not checked in” state.
Check Someone Out
When a member is checked in, they will have two buttons against their name:
- Check-In (green)
- Check-Out (red)
To check a member out of an event, please click on the red Check Out button. As soon as the check-out is done, the time will be displayed underneath the person’s name.
You can also check someone out by scanning their QR code using a plug-and-play QR Code Reader.
Self Checkout Using the Kiosk Mode
Using the Kiosk Mode, members can search themselves using their phone number or use an installed QR code reader to check out by scanning their QR code. Clicking the QR Code reader button next to the Search option will let them scan their QR code and display their profile. Regardless of the method used, if they are checked into the event, they will have the option to check out.
