If you have an account within ChMeetings or your church’s mobile app, you can easily read the Bible using a dedicated feature. This guide shows you how to use it.
Tip: The Bible text displays in your app language. If you want to change it, go to the main app menu, then Settings > Change Language.
You can find the Bible within your main app menu. Its exact position is selected by your church.
Get To Know The Bible Section
The Bible section gives you access to several features that facilitate reading and learning. Here is how it is built:

The Bible Options Menu, found at the top right of the screen (︙), takes you to:
- Settings, where you can set the Bible Version and Font Size.
- History, where you can find your verse Bookmarks, Highlights, and Notes.
- The Book and Chapter you’re currently reading. Just tap on it to browse other books and chapters.
- Chapter Verses. Here is where you can read verses, and if you tap on one, you get a menu that lets you bookmark, highlight, add a note, or copy the verse to share.
- Chapter Navigation: Use these arrows to go to the next or previous chapter.
Bible Settings
To access the Bible Settings, tap the Options menu (︙) at the top right of your screen, then select Settings. Here are the settings you can adjust:
Set The Bible Version
Select from one of the available Bible versions, as follows:
- King James Version (KJM)
- New King James Version (NKJV)
- English Standard Version (ESV)

New Living Translation (NLT)
Set The Font Size
Here is where you can choose the font size you prefer for reading. There are five available sizes: Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, and XXL.
View The Action History
This section is your centralized location for all verse highlights, bookmarks, and notes. Whenever you want to find such an item, simply browse this history to find it.
The history includes four tabs:
- All: Lists all items.
- Bookmarks: Lists your bookmarked verses.
- Highlights: Lists the verses you highlighted.
- Notes: Lists the verses you added notes to, and displays the content of your notes.
Regardless of the tab you’re in, the Options menu (︙) next to each item provides additional options:
- Edit is available for notes only and allows you to edit the content of your note without having to go to the verse.
- Delete is available on all items and lets you delete the bookmark, highlight, or note.
Browse Books & Chapters
To browse books and chapters, simply tap the current book and chapter above the verses, then choose which book and chapter you’d like to read.
Search
The Search feature at the top of your Bible page allows you to search the entire Bible for specific keywords; or for a certain reference (Book, Chapter, and Verse).
Verse Reading Options
While reading verses, tap a verse to access several options you can use to improve your reading and learning experience, or share with others. Let’s explore these options below:
Bookmark
Tap a verse and select Bookmark to save it to your list of Bookmarks within the Action History. The verse will also be marked with a dedicated Bookmark () icon so you can easily see that you’ve bookmarked it, while reading. Tapping this icon next to a verse will remove the bookmark.
Highlight
Tap a verse and select Highlight to select a highlight color for the verse.
You can change the color of a highlighted verse by going through the same process. Select the Eraser () icon if you want to remove the highlight. You can also remove highlights from the History, by deleting the item.
Add Notes
Tap a verse and select Note to add a note to it. Enter the text, and tap Save. You can add multiple notes to the same verse by following the same process.
Once your note is saved, the verse will be marked with a Note () icon. Tapping this icon takes you to the History section, where you can view, edit, or delete all the notes added to the respective verse.
Share
Tap a verse and select Share to copy the verse and have it ready to be shared anywhere.
Chapter Navigation
To navigate through chapters, to the Previous or Next one, just use the arrows at the bottom of your screen. The left arrow takes you to the Previous chapter, while the right arrow takes you to the Next chapter.
