No Giving Fees Paid to ChMeetings

Payment Processor Fees

If you set up online giving, you will not pay fees to ChMeetings, but you will need a payment processor to collect funds online. So, the payment processor you choose will charge the fees. We integrate with Stripe, Paystack, and PayPal. Their fees may change, so the best way to know them is to visit the pricing page of your chosen payment provider:

• Stripe pricing & fees. 
• ACH Fees: Stripe ACH payments cost 0.80%, capped at $5, with no monthly or verification fees. So, a $100 payment incurs a $0.80 fee; any payments above $625 cost $5. Read more on the Stripe Blog.
• PayPal fees.
• Paystack fees.

Giving Fee Records

When using ChMeetings Online Giving, the processing fees are recorded automatically with each contribution, so there is no need to enter them manually.

If you are using an external giving or payment platform (e.g. integrated via API or using the Donate button) and want to record both the contribution and its processing fee in ChMeetings, we recommend using the Import Giving option. When preparing the import file, you can include the processing fee in the provided fee field/column. This allows ChMeetings to record the gross contribution amount and the associated processing fee correctly.

Currently, processing fees cannot be added manually to individual contributions from the ChMeetings app. The fee can be recorded automatically through ChMeetings Online Giving or included when importing contributions from a file.
