Introduction
You can use QuickBooks Reports to export people or giving data, which you can then easily import into ChMeetings. This guide shows you how to do this using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. 2021 Some steps might differ, depending on your version of Quickbooks Desktop.
Please keep in mind that the import tool has a limit of 500 records per file. If you need to import more, please split your data into separate files, of maximum 500 records each.
Importing people
In QuickBooks:
- Go to Reports > Customers & Receivables > Customer Contact List.
- Click Customize Report.
- Under Display > Columns, you can select the columns you want to include in your report. Here, please remove the “Primary Contact” column if you have it checked, and replace it with “First Name” and “Last Name”.
- Click Excel, then save the data as an Excel file.
In ChMeetings:
- Log into ChMeetings.
- Go to Settings > Tools > Import People.
- Download the Template File.
- Populate the Template File with the data you need from your QuickBooks Customer Contact List report. Please make sure that data is added under the appropriate columns and that the heading row is not altered.
- Save the file to Excel format.
- Import it into ChMeetings, using the Import People tool, as shown in our dedicated guide.
Importing giving
In QuickBooks:
- Go to Reports > Sales > Sales by Customer Detail.
- Under Display > Columns, you can select the columns you want to include in your report. Here, please remove the “Primary Contact” column if you have it checked, and replace it with “First Name” and “Last Name”.
- Choose a Date Range.
- Click Refresh.
- Click Excel to save the report as an Excel File.
In ChMeetings
- Log into ChMeetings.
- Go to Settings > Tools > Import Giving.
- Download the Template File.
- Populate the Template File with the data you need from your QuickBooks Sales report. Please make sure that data is added under the appropriate columns and that the heading row is not altered.
- Save the file to Excel format.
- Import it into ChMeetings, using the Import Giving tool, which you can learn more about by reading our dedicated guide.
